Despite the wheat growing densely around them, these poppies were showing great persistence to ensure that they had their share of the sunlight. It was quite a lucky spot as they were a bit of a way away up a slight slope so I couldn’t wade through the crop to get any closer and I was at the limit with my telephoto lens.
