The historic city of Durham has hosted an installation of multi-coloured umbrellas above the Prince Bishops Place shopping centre for the last few years. However, this year they have installed umbrellas themed for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. They make a quite spectacular sight and with some lovely early morning sun shining on them they are even better! To create a slightly different image, I have converted this one to monochrome, but left one umbrella picked out in colour.
