Not far from the famous High and Low Force waterfalls in Teesdale lies the beautifully scenic Gibson’s Cave. The pretty Bow Lee Beck tumbles over the entrance and continues on to Summerhill Force. The cave itself is supposedly named after a local outlaw who hid out here in the 16th century. I visited in April. It had been quite a dry spring but there had been a few days of rain before I went, so I thought that there would be a good chance of there being a decent flow of water to make a nice picture. I used a 6-stop neutral density filter to give me a 10 second exposure to create the milky effect of the flowing water.
